India's third lunar exploration mission. Chandrayaan-3 was intended to be a follow-up mission to Chandrayaan-2, with a primary focus on landing a rover on the Moon's surface.
Chandrayaan-2 consisted of an orbiter, a lander named Vikram, and a rover named Pragyan. Unfortunately, the Vikram lander lost communication during its descent, and the rover was not able to deploy onto the lunar surface.
Chandrayaan-3 was launched on 14th July 2023 and have being planned to rectify the issues encountered during the landing phase of Chandrayaan-2. The mission's primary objective was to successfully land a rover on the Moon.
